The Story Behind the Evie Patch Pocket Jeans

When I first started Olim London, I knew denim had to be done properly - not as an afterthought but as a foundation. The Evie Jeans were one of the very first pieces we began designing back in 2023 and they’ve since become our best-selling style for a reason.

For as long as I can remember, I always dreamt of having a pair of 70s-inspired patch pocket jeans but no matter how many pairs I tried, they were never long enough in the leg, never quite right through the rise and never designed with taller proportions in mind. That frustration stayed with me for years and ultimately became the starting point for the Evie Jeans.

Designing Denim for Tall Women

From the very beginning, Evie was designed for tall women first.

Every detail has been carefully considered:

- The rise, to sit comfortably and flatter longer torsos

- The patch pocket placement, designed to balance proportions

- The leg length, offering the extra length we’re so often missing

- The hem, is shaped to fall just right with boots, trainers or heels.

Nothing about the Evie was rushed. We fitted, adjusted and refined until the jeans felt effortless - the kind you reach for without thinking, because they simply fit.

 

Finding the Right Factory

Equally important was how the Evie was made.

We were lucky enough to find a factory in Turkey that truly aligned with Olim London’s Values - craftsmanship, quailty and respect for the people making our clothes.

Working closely with them allowed us to bring the Evie to life in a way that felt intentional and considered, from fabric choice to finishing details.

It mattered to me that the Evie wasn’t just well-designed but responsibly and thoughtfully produced too.

From Classic Blue to Washed Black - And Beyond

We launched the Evie first in our classic blue denim, and the response from our community was overwhelming. Seeing tall women finally feel confident, comfortable and seen in denim has been one of the most rewarding parts of building Olim London.

More recently, we introduced the Evie in washed black - a versatile, everyday colourway designed to sit effortlessly in your wardrobe. And this is just the beginning. More colourways are already in the works for 2026 and I can’t wait to share what’s next!

More Than Jeans

The Evie isn’t just a pair of jeans - it’s a reminder of why Olim London exists.

To create pieces that fit tall women properly.

To design with intention.

And to build a community where feeling comfortable in your clothes isn’t a luxury - it’s the standard.
